Jacoby-Tarbox introduces the next-generation of Tank Illuminators. The Phaeton's bright spots include the "view-thru" feature which eliminates the need for a second tank window, and the direct powered LED lights that remove the potential burning hazard to face and hands. However, it's the Phaeton's versatility that shines. Both the 4-inch and 6-inch tank light easily installs over virtually ANY existing tank window. No on-site modifications are needed and installation is easy - three brackets are slipped over the retaining flanged and are secured. This unique mounting also brings the Phaeton directly against the window greatly reducing the reflected light associated with traditional units.
Phaeton Tank Lights are maintenance free and can be removed for window cleaning without disconnecting plant power or de-pressurizing the vessel. The lights are available in 240VAC, 120VAC or 24V DC source, 6-inch or 4-inch light rings, and are FM Approved for hazardous environments. Download PDF File (157KB)

Explosion-proof, UL-844 and C-UL/CSA C22.2 No. 137 listed, electric lighting fixtures are used in hazardous (classified) locations, lights for single port viewing have been designed to meet the needs of our customers who require lighting and viewing through a single sightglass.
Designated the SLEX-100, REX-100, SLEX-100 HI-LED & REX-100 HI-LED, both models use high-intensity halogen lamps or HI-LED technology to provide bright, glare free illumination of the interior of vessels, tanks, hopper, silos, mixers and other normally closed containers in hazardous locations requiring explosion-proof equipment. The REX-100 & REX-100 HI-LED are provided with a highly polished internal reflector which increases the illumination intensity.
The explosion-proof light can be supplied mounted to the upper
flange of our circular sightglass to form a complete light/sightglass
assembly. The light fixture can also be mounted to our smaller
viewing diameter sightglasses such as 3 1/4" and 4" to
form illumination ports. The illumination port used in conjunction
with a standard sightglass offers the user many options. A typical
option would be the use of a video or TV camera on the free sightglass
while the illumination port provides the necessary lighting.
Model Ex99 Explosion Proof Lighting UL 844 Listed T4A
The Model Ex99 is a compact, UL-844 listed explosion-proof light which provides lighting and viewing through a single sight port. The Ex99 allows for relamping in place without disturbing the unit. The unit has separate compartments for the lamp and wiring with deep-slotted covers for easy removal/access.

Series MSL-100 Sight Light UL 1571 Listed Non-Hazardous Lighting
The UL-1571 Listed Series MSL-100 mini sight light provides highintensity illumination for sightglasses and sight flow indicators. Manufactured in the USA from stainless steel and with gasketed joints, these fixtures are ideally suited for corrosive environments and sanitary applications found in the dairy, food, and pharma-ceutical industries. Rated for 120 volts and 100 watts makes wiring simple and straightforward. Fixture is optionally available rated for 24 volts and 20, 50 or 100 watts.
Illumination Choices:
The Series MSL uses a powerful 120 Volt 100 Watt Tungsten Halogen bulb that has been matched with a conical reflector to provide maximum light output. The Series MSL HI-LED uses a high intensity light engine designed to replace halogen technology.
